Kelly Lynch
A native of Greenville, SC, art education began for Kelly Lynch at the age of 9. She studied Art parallel to her formal education, and earned a degree in Studio Art with a Concentration on Metalworking and Foundry from the College of Charleston. Kelly learned much from her college career as an artist. She has an aptitude for understanding the artistic and logical processes which shape a final project.

"The artwork I create is a means of self exploration. I like to maneuver my color field so as to create lines that are not present, with the use of sections of color. My paintings capture certain emotions that I have witnessed or experienced, be it defiance, inconsolability, or even resilience against all odds. I survey many variations of the human condition using color, form, and large canvasses. The brush strokes create a sense of high tension which, when combined with the bold use of color, often force viewers to experience an array of feelings. As a relatively young artist, I am willing to take risks with my paintings to challenge the emotions of my viewers."

Kelly Lynch Art Studio & Gallery is her first public studio. Art Crossing at Riverplace is a historical event that Kelly is energized and proud to be involved.
